Atyrau Journal - Two Throwbacks to Christmas and Last Summer

Jim's son Michael asked for a fancy Russian hat for Christmas. Rhonda delivered, braving 12 degree temperatures (even colder with chill from strong winds) in an open market on the Asia side of the Ural River. Michael was very happy. We were in Tennessee at the home of Hailey and Blake; it's their wedding picture in the background.

A fun treat on our way to Kazakhstan was flying the first leg of the trip with a missionary on his way to Utah from the Stockdale Ward in Bakersfield, Rylan Mortensen.
